From start to saved
Sign into a signature field the form already has, by name, or place a visible box yourself.
Any compatible RSA certificate in Windows, including one a DSC token puts there. A new token sometimes needs its vendor utility run once before Windows lists it.
Reason, location, and a timestamp if you want one. Then save, or save a copy and keep the unsigned file.

A drawn squiggle or a typed name is not a signature here. If what you want is a picture of your handwriting on the page, this is the wrong tool.
Turn on airplane mode and every step above still works. The exception is the optional timestamp: it sends a hash of the signature, never the document, to a time authority you pick, and does nothing unless you switch it on. Offline checks do not query certificate revocation.
