Choose a size band from the list. Each preset names the authority and document it came from, and flags the ones we could not verify against an official notice.
Ask for a size a scan cannot reach and it refuses and says so, rather than handing back unreadable mush.
47 languages in the package
The language data installs with the application, so OCR runs with the network off. Printed text only — handwriting is not recognised, and a poor scan gives poor text.

A PDF that is mostly text has little left to re-encode, and it says so rather than promising a reduction. OCR reads print, not handwriting. Word export keeps the words and loses the layout.
